Rare Photo of West Court Sq. circa 1950's

Decatur-Army-Navy-Marine & Air Force surplus store
and Ray's Tailor Cleaners - Mens Wear. I think this photo of Ray's
was after they moved from (137 Atlanta Ave circa 1956) and then later to Toco Hills Shopping Center.
Just to the right of Ray's was Decatur's Ford Dealership.

Below is West Court Square circa 1940's

If you have any photos of downtown decatur new or old, send them in and I will try to post it.

Like West Courthouse Square where the all glass "Birds from Hell" building is now? Or down by Eddie's?

Oh wow. That IS rare! Thanks for posting.

Do you know of any other known pics along this strip?

Only the Ford dealership and maybe the building to the right.
The Ford Dealership took up most of West Court Sq.

Good find, Dennis.

I linked to it and also included a picture of the Ford dealership from the Ga State Archives(first posted back in 2007)at nDECATUR.com.
