"Harley and the Davidsons" 3 Night Event on Discovery Channel Sept 5-7

Based on a true story,
- Written by Discovery Channel
"Harley and the Davidsons" charts the birth of this iconic bike during a time of great social and technological change beginning at the turn of the 20th century. Walter, Arthur and Bill risked their entire fortune and livelihood to launch the budding enterprise. Each of these men faced very different challenges, but it was the motorcycle that united their dreams and ambitions. Walter, Arthur, and Bill cemented Harley-Davidson's reputation as a builder of bikes that go anywhere, can ride hard and ignore all the rules. It's a legacy that has endured over 100 years - and at the heart of the brand and its loyal riders.

While watching this I remembered a photo in the book Vanishing DeKalb of a early Indian Motorcycle who was a rival to Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.
Here is that photo below with description.

At his house on La France Street in Edgewood, Pierce Moore exhibits his favorite mode of travel.
Indian was the brand name of this World War I motorcycle rebuilt by Pierce and his brother George.
It was one of the first to have a hand clutch as well as a foot clutch. (Circa 1934) Photo from Pierce Moore (DEK-78-85)
